The Purpose:

We are working with one of our partners to secure the best of the best in terms of Head of Sales Specification. You will be working within a scaling area of the business, driving the proposition within the New Build/ Residential developer market, selling directly to M&E consultants, contractors, and developers, to influence key players at every touch point in the supply chain.


This role could be a career gamechanger for the right person, with a great amount of investment in the business unit over the next few years.


The Business:

You will be working with a key player within the HVAC market, who are already market leaders in the social housing arena. The business has invested massively in developing a full end to product range to be competitive in the Residential Development space. They are looking for the expert who will develop and own the strategy.


The Role:

You will be leading and developing a team of Sales Agents and Account Managers in the southern region (Midlands, London, Southeast, Southwest, Wales). You will spend time working with the field team, accompanying on customer visits in order ensure you understand customer’s key needs to develop truly customer centric solutions, and support with securing/ protecting major business opportunities. You will work closely with the team, to develop their knowledge, supporting with any technical knowledge gaps and enhancing the sales cycle. You will support your team in building/ developing the sales strategy for their individual regions, balancing the development of new business and maximising revenues with existing partners.

You will be fully accountable for building/ developing a high performing department and everything encompassed within that including recruitment, training, appraisals and PDPs.


As the Head of Specification, you will have:


  • True expertise within the HVAC market, understanding all the latest business regulations and standards.
  • Built robust sales strategies, with a multi-pronged approach to the sales cycle.
  • Developed a high performing sales team (ideally within a management/ leadership role, though we will consider applications with less formal management responsibilities)
  • Developed new business confidently, whilst maximising existing partnerships
  • The confidence to speak sales conferences/ events as the face of the business.
  • A base in the Greater London area as the ideal (biggest patch)
  • Ideally a good knowledge of the Passive House standard


On offer:


Salary: £64,000 + OTE of £90,000
